The Opportunity:

The Senior Salesforce Engineer will help design efficient, best-in-class solutions that scale, oversee and mentor developers, review code, champion best practice, aid in process improvements, identify ways to reduce technical debt, as well as building the necessary interface and tools to integrate new departments into Salesforce.

This position is responsible for the overall development, configuration, and operation of the initial implementation and continued operations, as well as the continuous improvement of the Salesforce tools for all user groups such as Sales, Marketing, Software Support, and other internal teams. The Senior Salesforce Developer will independently perform development, testing, implementation, documentation, and updating tasks relating to the Salesforce system and other integrated applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 7+ years as a certified Salesforce.com development experience and managing an Enterprise-level instance.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Software Development.
  • Prepare and present clear business and technical analysis.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong work ethic.
  • Experience in Salesforce.com Classic and Lightning
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce including configuration, triggers, process builders, workflows, visual force, Apex coding, batch processes and database design using Strong OO concepts.
  • Good understanding of Query based languages, SOQL, Apex classes and triggers, APIs (application programming interfaces) (Application Programming Interface) and experience developing queries and reports
  • Advanced knowledge of the Salesforce data model, custom objects, visual force pages, workflows, and configuration
  • Guide the team to follow best practices/standards supporting the platform adoption and full application lifecycle (design, development, change control, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), deployment and support)
  • Provide technical solutions (including "out of box" solutions) to complex business needs
  • Assist with end-user application support (troubleshooting errors and testing solutions) as needed.
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, and custom workflows.
  • Contribute to the technical side of business projects and create solutions to meet challenges (including performing detailed analysis of technical and business requirements).
  • Develop and maintain visual force, AppExchange's, Force.com pages and integration to other third-party solutions.
  • Understanding of databases and SQL queries (RDBMS).
  • Experience writing unit tests developing customer facing interfaces.
  • Demonstrable prolific learner with an ample amount of curiosity about not just how things work but in what scenarios they could be used in.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of development experience on Salesforce’s Force.com platform.
  • Hands on experience with APEX and Visual Force development
  • Understanding of the Salesforce API (application Programming Interface) and how to consume web services.
  • Keen attention to detail and complex problem-solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective.
  • Lend hands-on assistance to our team of developers, admins, and QA (Quality Assurance) to maintain Salesforce configuration, apex classes, queries, and reports as needed.
  • Document current and future state processes and develop functional and technical specifications for projects and enhancements.
  • Must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations.

Preferred Education, Skills or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Hands on experience with APEX and Visual Force development
