The Opportunity:

The Senior Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for assisting in overseeing and maintaining the Company’s enterprise vendor management program, including working with the Company’s Leadership to ensure that vendor related activities align to the Company’s regulatory obligations, internal risk appetite, and industry best practices. The role will maintain a vendor management program that governs the full vendor lifecycle, including planning, risk assessment/due diligence, contracting, performance tracking, and termination. The Analyst will also identify opportunities to optimize spend and/or vendor performance and work with Vendor Relationship Managers to act on opportunities, as appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Company’s enterprise vendor management policy and framework to guide governance of end-to-end vendor lifecycle.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure ownership of new and existing vendor relationships within the line of business.
  • Facilitate the vendor risk assessment/due diligence process with internal stakeholders to ensure vendors and procured products/services align to the Company’s risk appetite and do not pose undue reputational, regulatory, legal, operational, or financial risks.
  • Utilize the Company’s vendor management system (Coupa) to enable the gathering, administration, and recordkeeping for risk assessment/due diligence related documentation.
  • Partner with Legal to ensure the Company utilizes and maintains vendor service agreements that effectively define vendor roles and responsibilities, minimizes risk to the Company, and ensure appropriate monitoring and performance metrics/SLAs, where appropriate.
  • Partner with the business to define effective vendor performance metrics, support and administer gathering and aggregation of reporting, and facilitate periodic reviews with the business owners.
  • Establish and ensure adherence to requirements for vendor termination; work with the business to ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place for transition of services.
  • Develop and maintain executive level reporting for the enterprise vendor management program, including vendor health, spend versus budget, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Drive enterprise value through ongoing evaluation of the Company’s vendor portfolio; identifying opportunities to optimize spend, eliminate redundancy, improve performance, and mitigate risks.
  • Stay abreast of industry requirements and best practices related to vendor/third party management; continually assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the enterprise vendor risk management program.
  • Manage customer requests for Company’s documentation in relation to Company’s services as a vendor.

Qualifications:

  • Five years’ experience with vendor management programs and incorporating vendor management principles and best practices, payments industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience with vendor management systems in an Administrator role, Coupa experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication and collaborative skills in a multi-stakeholder business environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of vendor risk management and internal control standards.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and across business units and departments.
  • Payments industry and/or Financial Technology experience
